Quick Thoughts: Saints topple Cards in Hall of Fame Game

Well, football is back.

Yes, it's just preseason ball, but it is back!

In the Hall of Fame game on Sunday, New Orleans edged Arizona 17-10 at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

Here are three quick thoughts on the NFC South squad.

1) Chase Daniel turning into a solid backup -- The Mizzou product put together another solid performance in the preseason, going 15 for 20 for 203 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He connected with Travaris Cadet on a four-yard pass in the second quarter.

2) Cadet taking charge -- The Appalachian State alum had quite the game with eight catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. He isn't a big guy, but his speed has allowed him to get open over the middle and get separations on streaks. If this guy becomes another weapon for Drew Brees, watch out.

3) Fumble issues -- The team fumbled the ball three times. Only one was lost, but still, coaches hate to see this. The team will look to clean this up here for the next preseason game.
