It's been tough to watch. Jacksonville, with so many issues, sit at 2-13 and in the running for the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. After seeing what Robert Griffin III did this season, the team will almost certainly be eyeing Geno Smith of West Virginia, hoping for a similar performance.
Several other decisions need to be made. Maurice Jones-Drew, not fully committed to the team, needs to go. Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert? See ya.
Starting next season, if the team can get a good quarterback and running back, they will be set. The difference is at QB. Getting a young, talented star will be pivotal. I expect them to take a RB and QB with two of their first three picks. The team has a lot of talent at receiver with Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon.
The defense has quality pieces, but the production hasn't been there. This last game is the last chance for some to stick to the team and fight for contracts in the offseason. Expect many of the players you see on the field with the Jaguars to not be back come next season.
